Test & Verification Engineer
As a Test and Verification Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled technical specialists working on innovative (automated) test solution projects. These projects encompass every phase of the product life cycle, from development to manufacturing and maintenance. You will collaborate with senior test architects, software architects (automation), and other Test and Verification Engineers within and from our customers' organizations.
Your Responsibilities:
Create, review, and optimize test designs, reusable test protocols, and test procedures to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage for multiple projects and products concurrently.
Develop and conduct tests to verify functionality (performance, reliability, security, compliance) based on a risk-based strategy, against the design input requirements, and formally report the results.
Document test plans, protocols, and reports.
Review product requirements, designs, and product changes from a test perspective, liaising with stakeholders to ensure testable and maintainable systems.
Convert requirements into test specifications and tester designs.
Your Team:
You will be part of the Test and Verification Engineering team within the Quality & Reliability Engineering department of Philips Innovation Engineering. This diverse group of over 28 technical experts is located in Eindhoven (NL), Pune (IN), and Boston (US). The team has extensive experience in test and verification strategy definition, requirement engineering, and test automation, supporting complex, innovative projects for Philips businesses worldwide.
Qualifications & Experienced required to perform this role:
Master's (MSc) degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with more than 5 years of relevant experience in Design Verification and Product Verification from highly regulated industries, preferably in the medical device industry.
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices.
Ability to guide the selection of the most effective test design techniques. Expertise in defining acceptance tests for requirement verification, with shared responsibility for project scope, requirements, and risks.
Ownership of test design, reusable test protocols, and test procedures to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage.
Strong planning and timely execution skills. Stakeholder management experience within and beyond the team, including functional managers, project managers, test architects, systems architects, development engineers, external test labs, and customers.
Capability to create a test plan for a part/element. Extensive experience in the testing and verification process. Experience in executing Measurement System Analyses (MSAs).
Relevant project experience in ISO13485 Medical Device directive is a plus.
