Product Industrialization Engineer

In this role you have the opportunity to

Develop and industrialize production systems for mass manufacturing together with a project team. You are responsible for equipment and process, implementing robust sustainable processes and equipment by applying Standard Work industrialization and DFSS result in fast & smooth product launches. You apply Lean Principals in everything we do.

As Product Industrialization Engineer Metal Forming you are responsible for

  • Benchmark own activities and define trend reports and technology roadmap for own technology area.

  • Specify and outsource engineering development activities, production systems and tools.

  • Define project plans and lead industrialization projects.

  • Define well-considered concept choices and use actively risk management tools.

  • Develop suppliers and review activities of suppliers.

  • Manage the execution of capex.

  • Define, apply and improve work procedures and supplier base management tools.

  • Develop and use of DFSS improvement tools. Support engineers regarding the tools and methods.

  • Apply lean manufacturing.

  • Gain and secure knowledge for own competence area. Plan resources and competences for own activities.


Your team

Site Manufacturing Engineering department develops & realizes world-class industrialization solutions with passion for Shavers, Groomers, toothbrushes and other Philips products. The Product Industrialization engineer, plans and implements an integral architecture for product, process and supply chain to improve cost agility, time to volume & sustainability.

SME develops partnerships (Turn Key suppliers) to speed up innovation and use their knowledge & state of the art technologies resulting in fast & smooth product launches.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Proven experience in development and manufacturing in the fields of:

  • Metrology (Werth, Keyence, Allicona etc.)

  • Programming (Phyton)

  • Data analysis

  • Laserablation technology

  • Six Sigma trained and statistical grounded.

  • Trained in lean principles (lean manufacturing, Agile)

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.

  • Decisive, result driven and creative team player.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and team up with others.

  • Can work autonomously and in teams in a continuously changing organization.

  • Proven experience in Development, Industrialization and Manufacturing.

  • Preferred languages: Dutch, English & German.
