Join us as a Senior Architect Manufacturing Processes at Philips Innovation Engineering, playing a vital role in our growth. You will be a key contributor to multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with technical experts from Philips Innovation Engineering and our customers. You will lead and influence, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and actively contributing to innovation in our products and manufacturing processes.

Your role:

  • Translation of Requirements: Translate product and business requirements into manufacturing system models containing manufacturing process requirements, high-level manufacturing process & equipment design, risk management, integration aspects, and manufacturing process verification via predefined test strategies.

  • Technical Budgets Management: Define and manage technical budgets, resulting in a system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to manufacturing processes.

  • Process Development: Develop manufacturing processes and continuously improve or renew those manufacturing processes. Make technological choices on processes, systems, and applications during different project stages. Understand and communicate the consequences of technology on the architecture and integrate existing and/or purchased modules/components in a system.

  • Trade-offs and Reviews: Trade off between conflicting product design and manufacturing process specifications, determine feasibility of potential solutions, and lead technical & design reviews.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide overall technical leadership and responsibility for the realization of full manufacturing process release and ramp-up to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure good manufacturing processes, safety, and reliability, following regulatory compliance. Ensure proper documentation for the developed hardware and software.

  • Application Know-How: Develop application know-how in the specific field of expertise. Be a reference on competence and in the technical area, typically bridging Innovation and Industrialization.

You are the right fit if you have:

  • Educational Background: MSc or PhD degree or equivalent in Engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a manufacturing process technologist/developer.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address fundamental issues based on unique knowledge in the professional field.

  • Leadership and Execution: Capable of generating, leading, and executing technological improvement initiatives in collaboration with specialists.

  • Innovation Contribution: Proven track record of substantial contributions to the innovation of manufacturing processes, effectively communicating new insights within the business.

  • V-Model Experience: Experienced in working according to the V-model, defining requirements, supervising tests, and reporting results.

  • Team Leadership: Experience as a team player, capable of leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, and able to steer and supervise high-level and detailed design of manufacturing/test equipment and related processes (create schedules, and assign project parts to staff members).

  • Domain Expertise: Expertise in at least one of the domains - medical equipment or manufacturing systems.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with regulations for developing medical devices and equipment.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% and/or work at customer locations (internationally and in Europe).

Advantages:

  • Certification: Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or equivalent) is preferred.

  • System Architecture Management: Responsible for the creation, implementation, and life-cycle management of the system architecture in their assigned area of responsibility, compliant with the HealthSuite Reference Architecture and underlying domain-specific Reference Architectures, driving harmonization, and leveraging common and/or domain-specific platforms and technology choices.

  • Regulatory Strategy: Devise, drive, and contribute to the regulatory strategy for their area. Challenge and contribute to business constraints and processes related to system architecture to further improve upon the delivery on Philips's strategy.
