In this role you will have the opportunity to:

Make life better! As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment for Philips' leading-edge health technology products. This role offers a chance to work closely with various teams to ensure efficient, reliable production in a dynamic environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Writing work instructions, monitoring and maintaining devices and tooling, and implementing production processes

  • Conducting root cause analysis for Defect On Arrival (DEFOA) and Missing On Arrival (MOA) cases, and creating structural solutions

  • Initiating problem reports (PR) and 8D forms for long-term process improvement

  • Working with team leads, troubleshooters, and development teams to minimize production disturbances and maximize yield

  • Preparing and introducing product changes through Life Cycle Management and New Product Introductions (NPI)

  • Supporting and executing Process Validation and participating in audits as an expert

  • Leading improvement projects to enhance product quality and process efficiency



To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field

  • Hands-on troubleshooting mentality with technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical tooling

  • Experience in project management, quality management, and quality systems

  • Preferably experience in the medical industry and familiarity with ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, and related methodologies like FMEA, 8D

  • Experience with high-tech medical devices in a manufacturing or engineering setting

  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly in Dutch and English
