Electronic/Mechatronic Engineer

Philips Innovation Engineering operates a unique lab where we bring the latest electronic, electrical, and mechatronic systems to life. We are the vital link between a wild idea and a tangible prototype. In this close-knit team of 5 specialists, we create "one-of-a-kind" products: from test and validation equipment to complex systems for MRI, Ultrasound, Mother & Child, and Beauty.

Because our team is currently running at full capacity, we are looking for a proactive colleague who can not only build with their hands but also take charge of work preparation. You translate the customer's needs into a concrete "shopping list": which building blocks are needed, where do we source them, and how do we instruct the supplier? You will be given the space to think along, pioneer, and accelerate processes.

Personal Profile

  • True Team Player: We are not looking for an individual top scorer, but someone who will go through fire for the team.

  • Solution-Oriented & Creative: You enjoy "figuring things out" based on limited information (sketches, pictures, or a good conversation).

  • Strong Communicator: You interface directly with internal clients and manage suppliers with ease.

  • Curious & Hands-on: You have a broad technical interest and get energy from physically assembling your own designs.

Skills & Experience

  • Translating Ideas to Reality: Ability to convert abstract ideas into physical models, including the sourcing and planning involved.

  • Technical Insight: Experience with (or a strong interest in) both electronics and mechatronics.

  • Tools & Technique: Experience with soldering and the ability to understand electronic schematics.

  • Modern Prototyping: Affinity with 3D printing and CAD systems (SolidWorks is a plus).

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBO4: For example, in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Your mindset and "technical fingers" are more important than the specific diploma.

  • Experience in a high-tech environment where speed and quality (prototyping) are central is a significant plus.

We would love to meet you! Apply now to join our team at Philips Innovation Engineering. Please note that the recruitment and hiring process for this position will be managed via a Randstad company.
