Test and Verification Engineer (Contract)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!In this role, you challenge yourself as a Test and Verification Engineer by working at the heart of innovative, automated test solutions that span the full product lifecycle—from development and manufacturing to maintenance. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of technical experts and support test strategy, design, implementation, and execution across diverse Philips projects worldwide.

You will be responsible for:
Creating, reviewing, and optimizing test designs, reusable test protocols, and test procedures for complete functional and non-functional coverage.
Developing and executing tests for performance, reliability, compliance, and security, based on risk-based strategies.
Documenting test plans, protocols, and formal test reports.
Reviewing product requirements and changes from a test perspective to ensure systems are testable and maintainable.
Converting requirements into test specifications and tester designs.
Collaborating with senior test architects, software architects (automation), and verification engineers from both Philips and customer organizations.
Supporting every product phase—development (including validation of test methods), manufacturing (including MSAs), and maintenance (remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics).
Ensuring test activities are aligned with Philips’ quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Education: Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years in a professional engineering environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
Proven expertise in Design Verification and Product Verification.
Strong knowledge of testing and verification processes and methodologies.
Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Measurement System Analyses (MSAs).
Relevant experience in projects governed by ISO13485 or Medical Device Directive is a strong plus.
Ability to create test plans and define acceptance tests based on system requirements and risk analysis.
Stakeholder management experience within cross-functional teams and external test labs.
Strong analytical mindset, hands-on mentality, and adaptability to change.
Open to occasional international travel.
