Participate in advanced development or product development projects applying your know-how in the field of Mechatronics Systems, thereby building up and maintaining a relevant network for the competence.

The Role:
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the concept creation and design of products and systems by modeling, simulating, and analyzing their Mechatronic properties such as dynamic behavior, control strategies, sensing/actuation, and thermal properties on both system and component levels.

  • Perform measurements to support design, production, and reliability-related questions.

  • Provide consultancy at the request of a customer on which performance issues of existing products or systems need to be analyzed and solved (performance analysis, parameter studies, and experimental troubleshooting).

  • Actively participate in maintaining and shaping the Mechatronics competence across our department, including our colleagues in Pune (India).

  • Actively participate in improving intrinsic design quality by Model Driven Engineering, coupling the model-based system engineering models with the model-based designs.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, preferably with a dynamics specialization.

  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of mechatronic systems, control theory, and actuation principles translating this into mechanical and dynamic behavior of products and systems.

  • Experience: Strong analytical skills with an interest and ability to validate experiments, system and concept design.

  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, customer-centric attitude, and ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary development teams.

  • Software Knowledge: Experience in modeling using Matlab/Simulink (1D - 3D lumped mass modeling).

  • Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel globally up to 25%.

What We Offer in Return:
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a dynamic and multicultural team focused on delivering excellence in engineering innovation.

  • Professional Growth: Access training and development opportunities within a global organization.

  • Global Impact: Contribute to engineering solutions that support high-quality healthcare solutions worldwide.

  • Hybrid Work: Enjoy a flexible work arrangement based on business needs.

Additional Information:
  • For contract roles: You will work for Philips as a contract or permanent employee of a Randstad company, gaining access to benefits and career development opportunities.
