Technical Project Leader
As a Technical Project Leader at Philips Innovation Engineering, you will be responsible for scoping, defining, and leading cutting-edge hardware development projects — often digitally connected — for both Philips businesses and external clients. These projects span across various high-tech domains and result in successful, compliant product introductions to the market. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, ensure technical quality, and manage project execution from concept to completion in regulated environments, such as medical device development.
Key Responsibilities
Define project scope, deliverables, and planning in consultation with the customer and management
Ensure compliance with medical regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA)
Translate early-phase requirements into well-structured development projects
Identify required competencies and team composition to match project goals
Secure necessary resources and provide day-to-day operational guidance to the project team
Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and domain experts
Coordinate outsourcing of design and manufacturing based on internal specifications
Ensure smooth collaboration with suppliers and external partners
Identify technical and project-related risks and implement mitigation strategies
Monitor progress and control the quality of deliverables
Apply corrective actions where needed and manage changes Stakeholder Communication
Act as the central point of contact for customers, senior management, and suppliers
Provide clear, structured updates and maintain strong stakeholder alignment

Qualifications and Skills
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in electronic product development
Proven skills in leading complex, multidisciplinary projects
Experience in PCBA design and hardware manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and/or FDA-regulated development is a strong advantage
Affinity with early-stage innovation and defining structure from vague requirements
Experience with digitally connected systems; knowledge of 4G/5G certification is a plus
Team-oriented, communicative, and focused on delivering customer value
