Location: Eindhoven

Duration: Initially 12 months  and start date: ASAP.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

To strengthen our Systems Engineering competence and staff the innovation projects that lead to the introduction of our first "medical product" and the follow-up products, we are looking for a Systems Engineer. The person will start in a System Integrator role in one of our development projects.

You will be responsible for:

To start with the urgent documentation tasks and to complete actions defined during the verification phase of our largest development project. This project is in the verification phase and is preparing the validation phase.

We would currently be best helped with someone who can create/update documentation and who has a hands-on and can-do mentality.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics or (Bio)Mechanical Engineering or a comparable subject
  • At least 5 years of experience in a lead engineer role, managing complexity across involving multiple domains
  • A track record of projects you have driven to success
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with modeling / simulation methods & tools
  • Solid experience with consumer product development
  • Strong experience with requirements management tools
  • The capability to translate user and business requirements into product requirements and high level product design and to check and optimize integration and verification
  • Experience with root-cause analysis of production problems and consumer complaints
  • A strong quality mindset: you don't accept underperformance or poor results
  • Abstract, analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (English)
  • Motivation skills and persuasiveness
  • Good collaboration skills, since you will be working with many disciplines and people from various companies across the world


Furthermore, it is strongly preferred that you have experience with:

  • Development of medical products or products in another strongly regulated industry
  • Ensuring full product safety risk management in a regulation compliant manner
  • Design for Six Sigma: being trained and having applied the approach to produce robust designs
  • Lifecycle management
