In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!

As a Yield Engineer in our MEMS manufacturing team, you will be a key contributor to improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing defects, and enhancing yield in our MEMS production processes. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will lead the implementation of Power BI as a data analysis and visualization tool within the Yield Engineering team, including the development and maintenance of a defectivity roadmap. This initiative aims to empower our team with data-driven insights to optimize manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and create a clear roadmap for defect reduction.

When you choose to work at Philips you’ll work on life-changing projects; and contribute to innovative health technologies and solutions that improve billions of lives around the world.

You will be responsible for:

Yield Optimization and Defect Reduction:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and data to identify areas for yield improvement and defect reduction.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance product yield and minimize defects.

  • Collaborate with process engineers to implement process improvements based on yield analysis.

Data Analysis and Power BI Implementation (Yield Engineering Focus):

  • Lead the implementation of Power BI as a data analysis and visualization tool specifically within the Yield Engineering team.

  • Define data needs and requirements for yield analysis and create customized Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Provide training and guidance to Yield Engineers to enable them to utilize Power BI effectively for data analysis.

  • Utilize Power BI to collect, analyze, and visualize data related to yield, defect rates, and process optimization.

Defectivity Roadmap Development:

  • Create and maintain a defectivity roadmap, outlining the strategic plan for defect reduction initiatives.

  • Identify critical defect types and prioritize areas for improvement based on data analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align defect reduction efforts with the roadmap's objectives.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

  • Monitor and assess product quality and yield metrics.

  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate yield improvement progress and findings to stakeholders.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality control measures are in place and effective.

Process Documentation and Improvement:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, yield analysis procedures, and process optimization strategies.

  • Collaborate with process engineers to document and implement process improvements.

Root Cause Analysis:

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying factors contributing to defects and yield issues.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience in MEMS manufacturing, yield engineering, or related roles.
