Are you a passionate engineer with a keen eye for quality and a drive to make a real impact on people's lives? Join our team as a Design Quality Engineer, where you'll ensure that our innovative medical products meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. You'll use your expertise to guide project teams and build products that truly make a difference.

Your Role

As a Design Quality Engineer, you will set the quality and reliability targets for our IGT Systems medical products. You will act as a confident advisor and coach to project teams, using your expert engineering skills to ensure those targets are met. Your work is key to delivering high-quality, reliable products that improve patient care.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop Quality Plans: Create comprehensive quality plans that cover all stages of a product's lifecycle.

  • Validate Design Inputs: Evaluate key design inputs like usability, reliability, and safety to ensure they meet our standards.

  • Provide Oversight: Oversee the execution of quality plans and risk management activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Lead Problem-Solving: Take the lead on solving quality-related problems as they arise.

  • Analyze Market Data: Use data from products in the market to report on performance, provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams, and initiate necessary field actions.

  • Serve as a Key Contact: Act as the main point of contact for project teams, ensuring design quality requirements are complete and meet quality standards at every milestone.

Your Team

You will be part of the global Philips Patient Safety & Quality organization, reporting within the Design Quality team for our IGT-Systems business. You'll contribute to our ongoing mission to improve product quality and exceed the expectations of all our stakeholders.

What You Bring

We are looking for a "fixer" and a perfectionist—someone who continuously strives for excellence and can inspire others to prioritize quality. You have the skills and mindset to ensure our products are safe, effective, and reliable.

  • A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, preferably in a Quality or Reliability Engineering role within the medical or aerospace industry.

  • The ability to define detailed quality and reliability plans.

  • Experience with Risk Management, leading FMEA activities, and performing statistical data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of Design Controls and experience conducting thorough Design Reviews.

  • Knowledge of global medical device regulations and standards, such as ISO 13485 and EU MDR.

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary, high-tech R&D environment.

  • A certified DfSS greenbelt or blackbelt is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability and willingness to work in the office at least 3 days a week.

You will be employed by a Randstad company.
