Philips
Consumer Researcher Grooming & Beauty
As a Consumer Researcher, you'll represent the end-user within our R&D organization. Working in the Grooming & Beauty team, you'll ensure our products fulfill the promises we make to consumers.
Your role:
You'll join a team of Consumer Researchers that acts as an internal agency. The team's main focus is to optimize the consumer experience of our physical products, making them intuitive, user-friendly, and of the highest quality.
You'll identify consumer needs and tension areas and translate these insights throughout the entire innovation process.
You'll plan and conduct research independently, from analyzing existing studies to executing your own research, to mitigate risks in product development. This could include in-home tests with consumers or large-scale user studies.
You'll create a clear research strategy for projects and ensure its execution, fitting the project methodology (e.g., Agile or Waterfall).
You'll work closely with various stakeholders such as Marketing, Design, and R&D, ensuring the user's voice is heard in every project.
In all projects, you create a clear development logic for all user related opportunities, challenges and risks, to enable the verification and validation on the relevant consumer insights. You manage execution of this logic in sprints and/or lean plans. You apply the relevant tools fitting the projects to verify and validate consumer needs (e.g. Agile, MVP methods, a Waterfall approach or hybrid models) and report out to stakeholders. You support creation and substantiation plans of strong marketing claims and safeguard the user satisfaction throughout the life cycle of the solution before launch and after launch in the market.
You're the right fit if:
You have several years of relevant work experience in user research or consumer science, preferably in product or service development.
You have experience with qualitative and quantitative user research and a broad understanding of consumer research methodologies. Basic knowledge of statistics is a plus.
You are curious and empathetic, have a proactive attitude, and can take the lead in representing the end-user within the innovation process.
Experience in the development of medical devices is a must have for this role
