Senior Systems Engineer (Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems, Innovation Engineering).
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Fulfill a key position for the growth of Philips Innovation Engineering as Senior Systems Engineer with experience in the Mechatronics domain and Manufacturing Systems.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Engineering and our customers.
In this role you will deliver high quality (sub-)systems designs, meeting user and business requirements.
Challenges are the application of advanced technology to real world problems, managing complexity, providing technical leadership to the team and stakeholder management.
You will lead and influence others and drive design for quality and will be closely involved in the program of the applicable business.
You make a fundamental contribution to the innovation of products or processes.
You will pioneer and shape our future capability on SW-based HW Engineering (Model Driven Engineering)
You are responsible for
Translation of user and business requirements into system models containing system requirements, high level system design, risk management, integration and verification via defined test strategies
Definition and management of technical budgets, resulting in a system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to HW/SW element and part level and related traceability
Trading-off between conflicting product/system design specifications, determining feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical & design reviews.
Overall technical leadership and responsible for realization of full systems product release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
Ensuring product safety and reliability, following regulatory compliance
Applying an advanced approach to HW system development that focuses on creating and using models to design, analyze, simulate and implement system designs (Model Driven Engineering)
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A MSc or PhD degree or equivalent in Engineering
At least 10 years of professional experience in innovative product development, preferably including medical devices and-imaging.
Able to generate, lead and execute initiatives with regard to technological improvements in close collaboration with other specialists
Proven track record of making substantial contributions to the innovation process and communicate new insights to own business (closely involved in policy preparation)
Experienced to work according to the V-model in defining requirements, test specifications, supervising execution of the tests and reporting the test results (draws up design requirements and produces specifications for the product)
Proven experience in at least one of the domains medical equipment, industrial automation or high precision mechatronics as senior systems engineer
Have clear drive for Design for Quality ensuring also the aftercare of projects. GreenBelt or BlackBelt certification (or equivalent) is a pré
Proven experience with Model-Based System Engineering as well as other Model Based Design tools.
You are willing to travel up to 25% and/or willingness to work at the customer location (Best)
