Senior Embedded Software Engineer

For a cross-functional project together with the Mechatronics department of Engineering Solutions in which we are working on the design and realization of high-end mechatronic solutions, we are looking for Senior Software Engineers who will be working on the software motion control of the Philips Computed Tomography (CT) equipment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer who will work together with the other engineers in the Connectivity Platform teams in Eindhoven and Bangalore, India.
Your responsibilities:
• Gather, define, and write the detailed requirements specifications, usually based upon higher-level system requirements & the system design specification
• Create a design and implementation of the software, based on the detailed requirements, so that the software in question will be reliable, efficient, and easy to maintain
• Define the detailed test design and test specifications
• Participating in design and code reviews, and participating in FMEAs
• Creating automated unit tests and integration tests within the chosen frameworks
• Able to estimate own work, delivering input for the planning process
• Drawing up a personal schedule and reporting on progress in a structured way
• Ensuring that there is proper documentation for the developed software
We are looking for:
• You have an education in Electronics or SW Engineering
• Around 5 years of work experience in SW development in a high-tech environment
• Very good knowledge of and experience with C, C++, and C#
• Strong technical skills in SW development, HW/SW interfacing, debugging
• Experience with various build and test tools
• Affinity with and experience in Agile software development
• You have an interest in medical equipment, industrial automation, and mechatronics
• Experience in different SW development platforms: VxWorks, Windows, Linux
• Experience with motion software, familiarity with control system engineering
• Interest in using a variety of platforms like PC, embedded controllers, and PLCs
