We are looking for an ASIC Validation Engineer.
Project description.
At Philips Research a project is ongoing for the design of mixed-signal ICs for biomedical applications.
These CMOS ICs includes analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits. A series of test-ICs has recently beendesigned for this project. The candidate will take part in the hardware validation of these ICs.
Requirements:
The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements.
- At least three years of experience inhardware validation of analog and mixed-signal ICs. -
Understands continuous-time and discrete-timecircuits such as amplifiers filters and track-and-hold functions and is familiar with characterization ofthese.
- Understands ADC and DAC architectures and is familiar with evaluation of performance metrics such as ENOB.
- Expert user of measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- Appreciates working in a lab environment.
- Software automation skills e.g. Python programming/matlab/labview.
- Basic knowledge of transistorlevel circuit design and simulation using Spice or Spectre.
- Basic understanding of Unix.
- Team player: daily interaction with hardware and software design team.
- Timely reporting of results, progress and issues.
- Fluent in English.
