Quality Control Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, and maintains advanced quality control processes and procedures to ensure product compliance with rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production lifecycle.
Conducts advanced root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address complex quality issues in manufacturing processes, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to enhance product reliability.
Works under general supervision and established processes, utilizing independent judgment to navigate and adhere to operational policies, ensuring compliance and optimal performance and possesses basic understanding of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), applicable regulations, requirements, and standards.
Utilizes sophisticated quality management tools, such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC), to systematically identify and address potential quality risks in product and process designs.
Conducts hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) to identify potential hazards and implement controls to prevent product contamination, minimizing the operational risks.
Analyzes and reports on key quality performance metrics and trends, generating actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic quality initiatives and support informed decision-making by senior management.
Conducts regular internal and external audits of processes and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and organizational requirements, driving continuous improvement and addressing any identified non-conformances.
Develops professional expertise and applies comprehensive knowledge of company products and services to effectively address challenges and opportunities.
Provides advanced training and mentorship to quality control staff and production personnel, fostering the development of expertise in quality engineering principles, practices, and standards.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives, employing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce defects, and achieve operational excellence within the quality control function.
Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent/ Vocational Education.
Minimum required Experience:
No prior experience required with Bachelor's OR minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production, Manufacturing or equivalent with Vocational Education.
