Actual Job Title: Product Industrialization Project Manager - CAPA Engineer
This role is hybrid and requires onsite time at the Bothell, WA campus.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to join:
Philips Oral Healthcare (OHC) is seeking a Product Industrialization Project Manager (PIPM) & CAPA Engineer to join the Product Industrialization Engineering (PIE) team located in Bothell, WA.
The primary focus of PIPM / CAPA PM role will be to represent OHC PIE in applicable E2E CAPA Projects; including owning and managing to timely completion all required PIE CAPA inputs, outputs and deliverables across multiple CAPA’s. The secondary focus of the PIPM / CAPA PM role will be to support and manage smaller projects with the OHC PIE team. Project responsibilities include owning and managing the development and improvement of processes, tools, and manufacturing system equipment which lead to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes within OHC and external suppliers.
You will be responsible for:
- As CAPA Engineer, represents the OHC PIE team as a CAPA PM & SME within a greater multidisciplinary, cross-functional OHC CAPA project team
- Owning and managing to timely completion all required PIE CAPA inputs, outputs and deliverables across multiple CAPA’s
- Ensuring correction and / or adherence to all applicable CAPA resolution and improvement processes, procedures and documentation which fall under the OHC PIE domain
- Timely reporting of key findings; suggested improvements; documentation updates; status and timeline updates to key stakeholders including the CAPA project lead PM
- As PIPM, initiates Design for Lean Manufacturing in PDLM processes. Applies lean manufacturing principles
- Accountable for Process Requirements based on Product Specifications from I&D and Manufacturing Requirements
- Accountable for design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers driven by PDLM governed projects
- Responsible for resources, planning, quality, and cost (including Capex) for industrialization projects
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- BS/MS degree in Engineering field or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing CAPA’s and / or 5 years within complex manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and requirements including CAPA structures, requirements, timelines, workflows, processes and deliverables.
- Demonstrated success in working complex issues with cross-functional team members to effective resolution
- R&D development processes and global Supply Chain operations processes
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing process, equipment, and production lines
- Design for manufacturing, assembly, and testability
- Understanding of plastics and injection molding materials and processes is a plus
- Operational Excellence including Lean Manufacturing and Lean Principles
- Project Management skills, PMP preferred
