As a Consumer Researcher you are responsible to represent the user within the R&D organization for the Shaving and Grooming product categories, ensuring the delivery on (consumer) promise for our value propositions.
Your role:
In Consumer Research, the key mission is to identify consumer needs, tension areas and to translate, verify and validate these insights throughout the innovation process. This will involve various types of UX and User Research to help us reach this mission. Our activities start with a focus on the support in value proposition definition and feature development, which can include digital enabled development solutions, all the way towards the final product development stage - working towards successful launches and consumer engagement. In this, being consumer centric is key. Linking in with the situation, habits and needs of consumers all around the world helps us in developing products that fulfill the Philips Brand promise “Innovation & You”.
The Consumer Experience & Innovation Group is i.a. responsible for end-to-end consumer research in the Beauty & Grooming category. The team members report into one of the sub-teams of Consumer Research (Consumer Research & Insights; Consumer Research & Operations, Consumer Content & Care).
In all projects, you create a clear development logic for all user related opportunities, challenges and risks, to enable the verification and validation on the relevant consumer insights. You manage execution of this logic in sprints and/or lean plans. You apply the relevant tools fitting the projects to verify and validate consumer needs (e.g. Agile, MVP methods, a Waterfall approach or hybrid models) and report out to stakeholders. You support creation and substantiation plans of strong marketing claims and safeguard the user satisfaction throughout the life cycle of the solution before launch and after launch in the market.

You're the right fit if:
You have >2 years working experience in user research, consumer science, industrial design, psychology in the domain of product or service development.
You are experienced in UX/UI design, UX research (qualitative & quantitative), (scaled) agile ways of working, project management, have a broad understanding of consumer research methodologies and sound understanding of the underlying statistics.
You have a degree in consumer-oriented education, like User-System interaction, Design for Interaction, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Industrial Design, or (social) psychology.
You are curious and empathetic towards users & customers; have a proactive attitude, can take the lead and represent the end-user in our innovation process.
You have good communication skills

Minimum Requirements:
Education & Work experience
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Product Design, Usability Testing or equivalent OR no prior experience required with Master's Degree.
For this postion living within 1 hour of Philips Drachten is required because you will be working on site for at least 2 days. The current team is on site 3-4 days on average.
