Production Engineer Assembly (Freelance)
For the Technical Support Group (TSG) part of operations in Drachten, we are looking for a Production Engineer Assembly who is going to help us to improve the production process even more.
Your challenge
As Production Engineer you assure we can produce high quality products in Drachten today, tomorrow and after tomorrow. You have deep knowledge of the existing production processes and techniques. You use this knowledge to continuously improve the processes. You also use your knowledge for the introduction of new processes and products. These activities take place in multi-disciplinary teams. You are member or a Project leader of this team.
Your responsibilities
Your main responsibilities can be described as: support, improve and innovate production. As Production Engineer you support the production and you are responsible for stable processes and the transfer of knowledge to operators and mechanics. You recognize improvement opportunities and translate them into projects you can run by yourself. You also participate in big improvement and innovation projects to realize robust processes. You are member of a multi-disciplinary supporting group, therefore you also have a shared responsibility for your team.
Your team
The TSG-group consists of 45 specialists and delivers support to various production departments within the supply organization of Philips Drachten. The group is responsible for all production processes needed for the production of Shavers and Shaving heads. You are one of the specialists in the group. Engineers of the TSG-group are assigned to production departments. You are working in a supporting group together with other specialists. With this team you decide what is needed for your department.
We are looking for
For a good Production Engineer we are looking for: a technical bachelor degree
You are willing to further dive into the processes and all what is needed to run production; You are capable of transforming knowledge into practical actions. You are capable of analyzing problems and fact based improvement actions; Problems and projects are mostly run in multi-disciplinary teams. You are capable to lead such a team; You are not afraid of stress related to a production organization; Excellent knowledge of the Dutch language (both speaking and writing) is very important; Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Improvement techniques is an advantage.
