Product Quality Engineer (Freelance)

For our Innovation Team Male Grooming in Drachten we are looking for an enthusiastic Product Quality Engineer in the MLD phase, Modify Launched Design.

Your challenge
As Product Quality Engineer you will manage the Quality approach in the MLD phase of Male Grooming products: this involves the quality of the released product, of the manufacturing process and of the supplied parts and assemblies. 
You will be responsible to ensure the quality of the products, in case of product and / or process change requests. 
You will monitor product quality over time and monthly report out the status. Organize and coordinate repeat release activities and you will be first point of contact of the development quality team in case of product deviations @factory side.

Your responsibilities
You will support the MLD team with test planning, the use of Q-tools (e.g. design of experiments, data analysis, DfSS, FMEA), and the review of process capability studies and control plans. 
As the Development Quality member in the MLD team you will be the pivot between the various Q disciplines involved in the MLD phase, like Development Quality, Supplier Quality, Industrial Quality and Consumer Care. You will be located at Philips Drachten and working in an international environment, connecting with supply sides in Europe and Asia.

Job family summary: 

• The Quality Engineer is accountable for quality oversight of system, hardware and risk management throughout the product life cycle. 
• The Quality Engineer provides independent oversight of the design input process, design V&V activities, design transfer and product realization, and performance in the field to ensure that all design requirements are effectively met. 
• The Quality Engineer also provides analytics to the Business on the efficacy and efficiency of the design and product realization processes
   

We are looking for
You have a technical Bachelor degree. You have several years work experience in multidisciplinary teams, being responsible for quality in a development environment or you have experience as an engineer in a production environment and you would like to broaden your experience in the Quality competence. 
You have a quality mindset and preferably you know Q tools like statistical engineering, Design for Six Sigma and/or Reliability Engineering. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Ensures that appropriate quality, reliability- and Post Market Surveillance (PMS) plans are made and include all stages of the product life cycle 
• Supports Quality Plan design for hardware and Software design and ensure they meet quality and compliance standards for every planned milestone. 
• Validates key design inputs like usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability and costs 
• Provides effective oversight of the execution of the quality, reliability, PMS Plans, any Risk Management activities, and all of design related activities during the product/system lifecycle 
• Performs independent technical assessment on product quality performance and post-market product quality analysis to lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing and initiates field actions when required 
• Supports stakeholders during the execution of quality system- and product audits and inspections
• Independently Produces and completes Quality Engineering documents
• Responsible for Performing timely quality engineering tasks like: assessing quality plans, assessing product designs and reviewing test and other performance data, analyses market feedback, lead root cause analysis and quality problem solving
• May also provide other quality engineering support, including assisting organizational units in leading resolution of quality engineering deficiencies
