The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Grooming & Beauty Mechanical Engineering Group. You will play a key role in the end-to-end product development process — from initial concept through to mass production — for products such as shavers, groomers, OneBlade, epilators, IPL devices, and accessories. Your technical expertise and hands-on approach will help us deliver high-quality, consumer-focused innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design: Design, detail, and verify mechanical components and systems in line with product requirements.
Material & Process Selection: Choose appropriate materials (plastics, metals) and manufacturing processes.
3D and 2D Development: Create and manage design files using CAD software, ensuring DfM and DfA principles are applied.
Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes, develop test protocols, perform tests, and analyze results.
Risk and Requirements Management: Conduct DFMEAs and work according to the V-model development methodology.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams including system engineers, architects, and suppliers.
Knowledge Sharing: Document your designs, tests, and learnings, and actively contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in mechanical product development for mass production.
Background in (international) multi-disciplinary projects, preferably in Business to Consumer environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX and/or CREO).
Knowledge of plastic and metal design, and mass manufacturability.
Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., Ansys) and CFD analysis is a plus.
Working knowledge of GD&T standards.
Soft Skills:
Pro-active and hands-on team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to document technical work clearly and systematically.
Analytical mindset with the ability to balance innovation with practical realization.
Experience with Design for Six Sigma (Green Belt certification is a plus).
Experience in the medical device industry is considered an advantage.
