Product Industrialization Project Manager

In this role, you have the opportunity to lead Industrialization and provide manufacturing support of new and running IPL projects (Intense Pulse Light - Hair Removal products. E.g. Philips Lumea). Within PDLM (Product Development, Launch, Maintenance) you are responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, including cost, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.

 

You are responsible for

  • The industrialization plan to realize processes, equipment and assembly facilitating the manufacturing of Philips designed solutions.
  • Ensure delivery of products on target in launch, cost, capacity and quality.
  • Initiates and oversees process technology development activities in the context of New Product Generation as well as product and solution technology roadmap.
  • Ensures adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release
  • Responsible for Manufacturing input in PDLM process focusing on DfMAT
  • Initiates and executes Capex optimization for initial investments
  • Is accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from I&D
  • Is accountable for the process and equipment capability that meets these Requirements
  • Orchestrates design for lean manufacturing with according inputs to PDLM workflows.
  • Responsible for PDLM-driven design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers and their implementation
  • Is accountable for MF BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment and for PDLM ruled changes
  • Is accountable for establishing Inspection and Test Criteria for Philips owned components and assemblies
  • Applies lean manufacturing principles
  • Manage industrialization processes in new product introduction projects

 

You are a part of 

You will join the Grooming and Beauty Order to Fulfillment team and you will also be part of the Philips Integrated Supply Chain. The broader team ensures the realization of new products, matches demand and capacity on the mid / long term and maintains our portfolio in the market. In this it works closely together with R&D, our internal and external suppliers and our supply chain team. You will be based in Eindhoven and will report directly to the Sr Manager PIPM (IPL).
 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You have a Bachelor/Master’s degree in a technical subject or equivalent by experience.
  • Strong project management skills and able to drive a large team.
  • 5 + years experience in engineering, manufacturing.
  • Experience in manufacturing process and/or molding engineering.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing/assembly processes, tooling and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with external and internal stakeholders, able to influence.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximate 4-6 weeks per year.
  • You have an independent, mature, and positive attitude, not willing to give up in case of resistance.
  • You are eager to learn and have an entrepreneurial mindset / can-do attitude.
