Your main task in this assignment is to intensify the allocation of projects to the preferred suppliers and to assure the savings targets are met, also on smaller projects. To make this happen, your focus will be on the following activities:
· Make business owners aware of the existence of the preferred supply base and the importance of working with these suppliers.
· Tailor the preferred supply base to the business needs, by mapping the business requirements and the capabilities of the preferred supply base and come up with suitable solutions to close any gap.
· Phase out collaborations with non-preferred suppliers, together with the business.
· Provide evidence of your success by reporting your results on Procurement and TCO savings.

Your challenge
This role is part of the Philips IMS Procurement organization. This organization is responsible for all procurement activities related to Indirect Materials and Services. In this position you will be acting in the procurement activities for assigned commodities in the Benelux. You will be involved in tasks mainly within the area of HR (Human Resources/ Learning and development ) and Consultancy / fees and descriptionscommodities.
Your responsibilities
Customer side:
o Act as a single point of contact towards the internal demand side to establish customer needs and requirements
o Responsible for the development & implementation of an integrated set of purchasing actions, anticipating the needs of the business
o Responsible for and / or support purchasing related projects, responsible for project team
o Execute business review meetings with the customer to reflect changing business needs and requirements in the strategies
o Monitor main outsourced technologies in order to improve efficiency and reduce total costs
o Provide regular reports to customers that monitor added value, compliance and savings

Supplier side:
o Identify, qualify, rank and select appropriate suppliers including adequate involvement of customer (both separate Sectors and cross Sector) and according to RFQ as agreed in the Regional/Global Team. Continuously optimize the supply base (quality and number) on responsible sites and work towards total cost of ownership; develop supplier partnership at regional and sometimes global level
o Lead the negotiations and the process with the assigned supplier ensuring total cost of ownership to support the profitability objectives for the customer and Royal Philips
o Be responsible for cost control, flexibility, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of supply objectives within the supply base are established and achieved
o Maintain supplier relationships to ensure partnership

Supply market development:
o Participate in the development & deployment of the overall Philips Purchasing policy
o Achieve maximum performance (leverage) by actively using the sourcing network, respectively by bringing local requirements into the Supply Market and / or commodity team in order to initiate improvements to the Supply Market strategy
o Propose optimization initiatives for supply management processes to deliver upon strategic intent
o On local or regional level, perform benchmarks to (ultimately) plan and optimize the best possible purchasing activity and business plan. This is also used to determine possibilities for creating synergies across internal businesses or processes.


Your team
You will be closely working with senior managent to support their projects, campaigns or events with best in class procurement capabilities in the area of Source-to-Contract. The Benelux Market procurement team consists of 13 Market procurement specialist in multiple locations. These positions report all to the Senior Director for Market Procurement Benelux.
