About the Role:
You will be part of Factory Best, one of the largest medical manufacturing sites in Health Systems. As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for processes within Imaging Guided Therapy (IGT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Service, Parts & Repair (SP&R), Imaging Components (IC), Refurbishment System (RS), Digital X-Ray (DXR), and Parts Recovery (PR). You will work closely with operations, quality, and development teams.
Responsibilities:
Write work instructions, monitor/maintain devices and tooling, instruct employees, and implement and maintain production processes.
Provide structural solutions by initiating amendments such as problem reports (PR) and/or 8D forms (Problem Solving methodology).
Lead escalations regarding production issues/complaints, collaborating with development and other stakeholders as needed.
Minimize disturbances (maximize yield) within production in cooperation with team leads, troubleshooters, and development teams.
Prepare and introduce product changes through Life Cycle Management and Modify Launched Design within the manufacturing processes.
Participate as an expert in audits.
Support New Product Introductions.
Execute and support Process Validation.
Other Activities:
Conduct Defect On Arrival (DEFOA) and Missing On Arrival (MOA) root cause analysis, creating and implementing structural solutions.
Provide input for the Product Industrialization Engineer to improve processes. After release for volume production, the Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for improvements.
Analyze performance data with respect to products and processes (Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control).
Provide input and maintain New Product Introductions project planning.
Perform preparation activities on trial/prototype production within New Product Introduction processes.
Define and lead improvement projects to enhance efficiency, product quality, and test sections (Green Belt).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Applied Physics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
Customer-first attitude.
Hands-on mentality with proficiency in documentation and a natural inclination for accuracy.
Independent, proactive, and not afraid to take ownership, including relevant stakeholder management.
Result and quality-driven approach.
Preferably certified in DMAIC Six Sigma Green Belt.
Experience with SAP (MES) and Windchill is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering within the high-tech industry.
Basic experience with Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT).
Strong comprehension skills with the ability to analyze and summarize information.
Experience with quality management and quality systems, preferably in the medical industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, audits, FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.).
Excellent personal and communication skills (Dutch & English), with the ability to communicate effectively with operators, developers, and management.
