LCM Mechanical Designer
Join Philips' R&D team to manage the lifecycle of mechanical systems in Interventional Guided Therapy (IGT) Fixed X-ray Systems.
The Role
You will maintain, validate, and verify mechanical components and systems to ensure continued product quality, safety, and compliance with strict international regulations. This role focuses on Life Cycle Management (LCM) within a dynamic, multidisciplinary R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Integrity: Own the maintenance, specifications, documentation, and compliance of mechanical components.
Testing & Compliance: Develop and execute test strategies and verification plans to meet global safety standards.
Design Quality: Ensure design reliability and patient safety for products and 3rd party components.
Collaboration: Align with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Quality, Production) and manage suppliers.
Technical Execution: Perform Design Modeling & Analysis and provide factory support.
Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
Domain: 5 years in mechanical development/measurement, preferably in a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical).
Expertise: Strong background in LCM, Mechanical Design & Analysis, and mechanical testing/verification.
Soft Skills: Excellent team player, proactive, hands-on, and possesses excellent communication skills in English.
Bonus: Experience with the SAFe framework and DFSS.
