The role as Manufacturing Engineer are responsible for giving support, improve and maintain the production process within the Manufacturing Department Factory Best. One of the largest Medical Manufacturing Sites in Health Systems.

This vacancy is a result of the needs of the IGT AQuA project and will focus Quality related topics only. Need of this engineer is recognized and approved by AQuA project management team.

Focus of this engineer is to:

  • Reduce CAPA' s

  • Reduce QN backlog, requiring a discussion and modification in either the manufacturing process (6%), at supplier (39%) or in product design (14%).

  • Address legacy process validation. Some processes are not or partially validated. Many deviations are still open and overdue.

  • Improve Validation & change procedure in order to reduce all kind of discussions and reduce complexity.



You will be responsible for:

  • Reduce Defect On Arrival (DEFOA) /Missing On Arrival (MOA) by conducting root cause analysis, creating and implementing structural solutions.

  • Providing structural solutions by initiating amendments like problem reports (PR) and/or 8D forms (Problem Solving methodology)

  • Minimum disturbances (max.Yield) within production in cooperation with teamleads, troubleshooters and development.

  • Investigation and escalation of Production issues/complaints, if needed together with development.

  • (Re-)execute Process Validation in order to improve our manufacturing processes.

  • Analysis of performance data with respect to products and processes (Six-sigma, Statistical Process Control)

  • Defines and leads improvement projects for the assigned unit, to improve efficiency, product quality and test section (Green Belt).

  • Investigation and escalation of Production issues/complaints, if needed together with development.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Typical bachelor in Industrial Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechatronics or comparable.

  • Proficient in documentation and natural inclination for accuracy.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, six sigma certification preferred.

  • Be independent, pro-active, and not afraid to take ownership, including relevant stakeholders’ management.

  • A result & quality driven approach.

  • You have acquired 3+ years of experience in medical device (preferred) or a regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, automotive).

  • Comprehension skills and ability to analyze and summarize.

  • Experience with quality management and quality systems. Preferably experience in the medical industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, audits, FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.).

  • Communication skills (English).
