The engineer is required to complete the advanced development of our first "medical product", in particular the sensors which are of vital importance for the launch of the product as well as to support industrialization.


As Function Development Engineer for IPL (intense pulsed light) devices, you will work on pre-development and industrialization of our Lumea products that are used for long-term hair removal. Our Innovation & Development team at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven is responsible for new product and service introductions from the first sketch to industrialization as well as lifecycle management.


To succeed in this role, you must have

  • A master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or physics
  • Solid experience in defining and conducting experiments to analyze technical solutions
  • At least 3 years of professional experience
  • A strong affinity with electronics and sensors
  • An academic way of thinking combined with a hands-on mentality
  • A tech-savvy and innovative mindset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience with a test and verification way of working, especially in an electrical laboratory


And preferably you have

  • Working experience in a regulated field (medical or, e.g., automotive, aerospace)
  • Solid experience in (consumer) product development
  • Experience with Design for Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Matlab, Python)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • A track record in working in a high volume fast paced industrial environment
