EMC Electrical Designer (Contract)

Location: Best, The Netherlands

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

In this role, you will develop electrical (sub-) systems and solutions, including their validation, testing, and troubleshooting for Interventional Guided Therapy systems (fixed interventional X-Ray systems). You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on applying research results and technology advancements, ensuring compliance with international EMC standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing EMC (pre-)compliance tests in collaboration with the internal accredited EMC lab.

  • Setting up test strategies and test plans to comply with EMC international standards in alignment with the Norm Compliance department.

  • Consulting and supporting electrical, mechanical, and software designers in designing for EMC.

  • Directing and supporting suppliers with respect to EMC compliance.

  • Co-creating, maintaining, and carrying out the EMC architecture and compliance.

  • Co-creating, maintaining, and improving EMC facilities and equipment.

  • Successfully cooperating with your team and stakeholders.

  • Planning, delivering results, and documenting findings.

  • Improving the quality and efficiency of the delivery process.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.

  • At least 5 years of experience in EMC development and/or measurement (preferably with IEC60601-1-2).

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EMC equipment, labs, and requirement definition.

  • Experience in new product introduction or life-cycle development in the industry.

  • Team player with good coordination and soft skills.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Proactive, energetic, and self-driven professional.

  • Hands-on and accurate.

  • Experience in SAFe is a plus.

  • A drive for patient safety and quality.
