Our mission is to deliver meaningful innovations that support better health outcomes for people around the world.We are looking for a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our Digital Processing group within the Electronics Systems & IoT Department. You will be part of Innovation Engineering, a central team that drives the development of first-of-a-kind technological propositions across Philips’ product portfolio. In this role, you will contribute to the development of embedded and PC-based software used in advanced Philips healthcare solutions. With an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong technical foundation, you will help accelerate innovation in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop embedded software in C/C++ for innovative healthcare products.

  • Build PC applications for production testers using Python.

  • Participate in architecture, object-oriented analysis/design, and clean code development.

  • Integrate software assets into peak-performing systems for end users.

  • Conduct debugging, functional simulation testing, and system integration.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and quality.

  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving technologies.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-tech environment.

  • Proven expertise in embedded C/C++ and Python (preferably for test applications).

  • Experience with MPSoC ARM cores from AMD is a plus.

  • Strong foundation in object-oriented design and clean coding practices.

  • Skilled in debugging, system integration, and simulation testing.

Additional Information:
  • Work Location: Eindhoven (hybrid model – minimum 3 days onsite).

  • Travel: Occasional travel to the United States may be required.

  • Contract Type: You will work for Philips as a contract or permanent employee of a Randstad company.
