Electronics Development Engineer
As Electronics Development Engineer for IPL (intense pulsed light) devices, you will work on our Lumea products that are used for long-term hair removal. Our Innovation & Development team at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven is responsible for new product and service introductions from the first sketch to industrialization as well as lifecycle management. The person we are looking for must be able to work in all phases of our product lifecycle, including early advanced development, product engineering, testing, industrialization support and product maintenance.
To succeed in the role of Electronics Development Engineer, you need:
- A Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable subject.
- At least 5 years of experience in (consumer) product development and/or pre-development.
- Strong experience in product specification and documentation.
- Solid experience in design of (analog and digital) electronics.
- Sound knowledge of electronic components.
- A hands-on and can-do mentality.
- Experience in root-cause analysis of production problems and consumer complaints.
- A strong quality mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (English)
- Motivation skills and persuasiveness.
- Good collaboration skills, since you will be working with many disciplines and people from various companies across the world.
And preferably you have experience with:
- Industrialization aspects of PCB and PCBA designs. Hardware/software co-design and embedded software.
- Development of medical devices and design controls to comply with FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory requirements.
- EMC standards and measurement techniques.
Furthermore anticipating on a cooperation beyond 2022 - it is strongly preferred that you have:
- Abstract, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Experience with modeling/simulation of electronics (power, analog and digital)
- Experience with microprocessors, connectivity and sensor technologies.
- Experience with switch mode power supply technology and battery technologies.
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma
- The ambition to further develop yourself in the technical areas mentioned above and to grow towards an expert role.
On the basis of his/her professional specialisation, makes a substantial contribution to the innovation of product and process. Develops new products, using the latest technologies and resources, often realising systems based on unverified specifications.
