In this role you need to understand safety principles preferable in medical systems and components. Here you wil have the opportunity to help develop, maintain, validate and verify electrical components, (sub-) systems and solutions of the Interventional Guided Therapy Systems (fixed interventional X-ray systems) at R&D and continuous factory operation. You work within a R&D multi-disciplinary team on applying research results and technology advancements. You demonstrate that our systems (including components, units and 3rd party products) comply with the international medical standards and safety regulations.

You will be responsible for:
Electronics and electric maintenance and design (requirements), development, verification, reporting and documentation.
Assuring design quality, reliability and patient safety of our medical products and systems developed by Philips and our suppliers and partners.
Defining test strategy and plans, testing and reporting to comply with Safety and EMC medical international standards and regulations. Interconnection / interfaces as cabling, harnesses and connectors.
Setting up, working with and deploying Eplan in organisation.
Effective and efficient cooperation with teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
Planning, driving progress and reporting of your tasks.
Alignment with other functions (mechanical, mechatronics, norm compliance, test and validation, purchase, quality, other).Supporting co-creation, maintenance and carrying out the electronics and electrical team vision / mission / strategy.
Support of continuous factory operation.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
The Electrical Designer has minimum a Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical-, electronics-, mechatronics engineering or related engineering discipline.
Preferably 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.
Preferably 5 years experience in medical or other highly regulated industry.
Experience in new product introduction and / or life-cycle development in the industry.
Experience in electronics system design, validation and verification .
Medical quality management.
Able to work in cross functional teams.
Good communication skills in English.
Proactive and energetic.
Hands on and accurate.
Experience in working in SAFe is a pre.
You are a part of
the Electronics Department of the Mechatronic Development Cluster within the IGT Fixed Systems R&D organisation. The department consists of an open and multi-cultural team working on lifecycle management (LCM) and new product introductions (PDLM).
