In this role, you have the opportunity to develop electrical (sub-) systems and solutions (including their validation, testing and troubleshooting) for Interventional Guided Therapy systems (fixed interventional X-Ray systems). You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on applying research results and technology advancements while taking care of the total system lead the R&D organization in demonstrating that our systems (including components, units and 3rd party products) complies with the international EMC standards (e.g. IEC60601-1-2). You will make use of the newly installed state of art EMC labs in Best, The Netherlands.

Your challenge:
As a Lead Engineer you are responsible for the entire mechanical product design, implementation, test, and documentation efforts necessary to support the development of mechanical components for use in Grooming and Beauty appliances.
You will implement new concepts into products that will deliver value for our customers when removing hair from head, face and body. Together with your on-site team and/or our offshore development partners, you design, verify and validate the mechanical construction of a module or an appliance and detail the parts in 3D and 2D towards final technical product documentation.
You are part of a multidisciplinary development team consisting of e.g. system engineers, function development engineers, application research specialists, electronic and mechatronic engineers. Being the technical counterpart for commercial managers and designers, you realize the most attractive appliances compared to competition.
You will be responsible for:
Perform EMC (pre-)compliance tests in collaboration with the internal accredited EMC lab.
Setup the test strategy and test plans to comply with EMC international standards in alignment with the Norm Compliance department.
Consult and support electrical / mechanical / software designers in design solutions to comply with EMC.
Direct and support suppliers with respect to EMC compliancy
Co-creating, maintaining and carry out the EMC architecture and compliance
Co-create, maintain and improve EMC facilities
Successful cooperation with your team and stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
The EMC Electrical Engineer has minimum a Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical-, electronics-, mechatronics engineering or related engineering discipline.
a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in professional engineering environment
a minimum of 5 years’ experience in EMC development and / or measurement (preferable experience in IEC60601-1-2)
a minimum of 5 years’ experience in EMC equipment, labs, and facilitation & requirement definition
Experience in new product introduction or life-cycle development in the industry
Being a team player with good coordination and soft skills
Able to work in cross functional teams
Good communication skills in English
Proactive and energetic, self driven professional
Hands on and accurate
Experience in SAFe is a pre

You are a part of
the Electronics department of the Mechatronic Development Cluster within the IGT Fixed Systems R&D organization. The department consists of an open and multi-cultural team working on lifecycle management (PQ&M) and new product introductions (PDLM ). The key competences of the electronics department are hardware infrastructure, interconnectivity, power infrastructure and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) on system level. We work with SAFe in Hybrid model.
