In this role, you have the opportunity to
As a consultant your challenge is to help Philips with the implementation of the new EU-MDR (Medical Device Regulation)
You can combine Business and IT views, and can drive the set up of a new Center of Excellence for dealing with EU-MDR related topics and are able to keep overview over large project activities.

You are responsible for
•  Being part of the project management office, setting up a Center of Expertise for EU-MDR related matters.
•  Monitoring and supporting the critical stages of transitions during the setup of this new organization and looking at IT and Business perspectives.

The department Industry Consulting at Philips Innovation Services is a dynamic group of approximately 70 consultants with a growth ambition. We work with leading clients in operationalizing their strategic ambitions in and across key areas of their business: Innovation and Operations Management taking an integral approach.
In Innovation we support our clients in all types of innovation be it in business models, products, services, or solutions. We work with our clients on key aspects for success: new business creation, innovation strategy, Roadmapping and architecture, and innovation process improvement including IT solutions for innovation, lean and open innovation. We work with all Philips businesses worldwide as well as with external companies.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
•  Understanding of EU-MDR Medical Device Regulations
o  Verification obligations
o  Storage and Transport conditions
o  Traceability
o  Post Market Surveillance

•  Experience with transitioning towards set up of new Center of Expertise (CoE) for MDR related topics
o  CoE design and acceptance by all stakeholders
o  ensuring process descriptions matches the requirements of CoE
o  documenting of the process descriptions and requirements
o  follow up on IT solution creation and realization
o  detailing of CoE designs
o  creation of dashboards for CoE implementation
o  monitoring implementation status of CoE
o  staffing of PMO team for CoE implementation

•  Experience with IT projects
o  Understanding building , testing and deploying IT Applications
o  Knowledge of SAP for commercial and industrial use is a pre

•  Understanding of Philips businesses
o  As you will have many contacts within Philips it is a strong pre when you have experience within Philips and understand its processes, systems, and language (e.g. abbreviations)
o  Basic understanding of Finance, Supply chain and procurement processes

•  Consultancy skills
o  In a dynamic environment with high pressure keep the overview over Cutover activities
o  Influence expert and management layers
o  Integrate contributions from several business functions like Finance, Supply chain, Procurement and IT

•  Project management skills
o  Experience with MS project for complex projects
o  Experience with project planning and tracking
o  It is a pre to have led large projects, especially setting up a support/service organization

•  Other skills
o  Able to collaborate across cultures and disciplines
o  Bring people together around a common understanding
o  Managing the balance between taking ownership and delegation
o  Flexible and stress resistant to deal with a very dynamic environment
o  An inquisitive quick learner
o  Experience in MS Office applications SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel
o  Good in English
