In this assignment, 

You’ll lead the design changes of IGT Systems. Your deep understanding of R&D development processes and products enables you to lead and inspire. You have process affinity, drive standardization, are quality driven and understand what is required to maintain complex mechatronic solutions after they’re released at our suppliers, operations, and the hospital. Ideally, you understand how to apply “lean” in a R&D context, and like to work with multiple cross functional stakeholders. You ensure patient safety and quality always, and think end-to-end to deliver solutions that improve people’s health across the world..

You will be responsible for:

  • Change and Configuration Management of released parts in the MLD (Maintain Launched Design) scope of all IGT Systems products.

  • Lead and execute design and engineering changes according to harmonized procedures.

  • Maintain product data including DHF (Design History File) and DMR (Device Master Record) of medical products. Part BOM lists, drawings, masterlist, changes, test results.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5 years experience in R&D.

  • Experienced user of Windchill cPLM (common Product Lifecylce Management).

  • Quality mindset.

  • Good communicator and capable to get things done from multiple stakeholders from different professions within Philips. Norm compliance, engineering leads, procurement, supplier quality, packaging.

  • Likes to work in an operational atmosphere within R&D according defined processes

  • Has affinity with agile and lean.

  • Experienced user of Excel, and likes to automate work.

  • Team player, who leads by example and feels responsibility also beyond his own role.

  • Result oriented and self-steering with a problem solving attitude.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Teaching and being buddies for juniors.

  • Good understanding of Configuration Management.
