The EU Category Specialist develops and executes the Go To Market approach for the assigned Beauty portfolio, in alignment with the European Markets' Business and overall Marketing strategy and works with the Clusters and Businesses to ensure perfect and flawless New Product Introductions and Launches.


The Category Specialist supports the Beauty BMM Europe in the interactions with the Business, especially around the Marketing enablers and metrics. This role also supports and coaches the teams in the Market and ensures that the market marketing plan and BMC plans are aligned.


Category Specialists are responsible for: Supporting the Development of the BMC plans for an assigned Category


Executing the BMC Plans for an assigned category


Owning and leading the ONE EU product range, based on deep consumer and shopper understanding. Driving the development of relevant and unique Champion propositions for the European market.


Supporting the Head of Marketing in creating the Marketing Plan for the Market by providing audience and category specific insights and the portfolio and business specific strategy


Providing market, customer and consumer insights and trends to the Business


Performance management of the assigned portfolio, solutions and services


Supporting the Business by reviewing the value propositions and global plans in the product development phase and subsequently localizing them for the European markets.


Driving local product launches in line with the global strategy and the overall market's business and marketing strategy


Supporting trade shopper and sales teams with background knowledge, market insights, competitive insights and tools to maximize business opportunities.

Defines the product roadmap with a time horizon of 1 year for a product range with known functionality and existing technologies. Defines proposals for the short term (1year) marketing strategy. Translates the midterm product roadmap into concrete product specifications. Implements the short term business plans, goals and product roadmap. Cooperates with Product Managers, who are responsible for short term product portfolio, MarCom and MIP. Makes use of external specialization, such as MarCom and marketing research. Acts within MarCom directives and defined marketing plan.
