Job brief
We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Specialist to manage our internal communications. You will promote a positive image of the team’s achievements and accolades.
Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities too. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Communication Strategies: Create comprehensive communication plans to support organizational objectives. Identify target audiences and determine the most effective channels for communication.
2. Content Creation: Write and edit a variety of internal communication materials, newsletters, and internal memos. Ensure content is clear, concise, and engaging.
3. Internal Communication: Facilitate internal communication initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged. This may include producing employee newsletters, organizing town hall meetings, and managing intranet content. Develop effective internal corporate communication through Viva Engage / Email.
4. Brand Management: Ensure all internal communication materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand voice.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with teams and leadership to align communication efforts with broader organizational goals.
6. Measurement and Reporting: Track the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives through metrics such as views/likes/comments and employee feedback. Use data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
7. Calander management for Directors (Added advantage)
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as communications specialist
• Experience in web design and content production is a plus.
• Experience in copywriting and editing.
• Understanding of project management principles (Added advantage)
• Working knowledge of MS Office; Outlook, Power point, photo and video-editing is an asset.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Proficient command of English
• BSc/BA/Any Graduate in communications or relevant field.
