Analog ASIC Designer

PHILIPS is looking to accelerate projects from Analog Design (AD) to Physical Design and Layout Management (PDLM) phases for our Medical Imaging systems. The ASIC Design Group is part of Philips Medical Systems, MR, and defines, prototypes and industrializes application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), i.e., customized chips, for medical and biomedical applications. These CMOS ICs typically include analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits. The candidate will take part in the design of the next generation of ASICs for MRI and other Phillips businesses.

Contract: via Randstad Company

Duration: Long-term assignment

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of four years of post-master experience in the semiconductor design industry, specializing in the design, simulation, and layout of analog circuits such as amplifiers, buffers, and current sources.

  • Proficiency in advanced CMOS technologies, including familiarity with design rules and process specification documents.

  • Expertise in creating simulation test-benches for DC, AC, and transient simulations using ADE-L and ADE-XL.

  • Strong understanding of low-noise analog circuit design.

  • Hands-on experience with full-custom IC layout design utilizing Cadence tools such as Virtuoso, Layout-XL, and proficiency in DRC and LVS.

  • Background in analog-to-digital conversion and other mixed-signal functions.

  • Sound knowledge of signal processing theory.

You're the Perfect Fit if You Have:

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Experience in analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design.

  • Practical expertise in the theory and design of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and timing circuits like PLLs and CDRs.

  • Proficiency in the complete chip design flow, including ASM verification.

Requirements (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with modeling in MATLAB Simulink.

  • Familiarity with signal processing techniques for analysis and design of AD and DA converters.

  • Basic understanding of IC design for medical applications.

As a Strong Team Player, You Will:

  • Engage in daily interactions with analog, digital, and other system designers.

  • Report progress and promptly communicate any arising issues.

  • Have fluent communication skills in English.
