In this role, you are responsible for :
Your challenge will be to test new and maintenance releases of the software of the Philips Interventional Hemodynamic System: a medical device used to assess and analyze the patient’s hemodynamic condition during Interventional Cardiac Procedures. You will design and execute the optimal test approach for our software using the manual as well as automated tests
You will be responsible for the creation and execution of software (interface) tests (automated or manual) within the agile/scrum software development team throughout the whole development cycle ensuring built-in quality. Tests include functional, performance, load and reliability tests.
Together with the lead test engineer (responsible to test strategy and test planning) and colleague SW test engineer you will be defining the appropriate test strategy for the applicable product and provide test effort estimations to be used to create a solid test plan.
You will create the required documentation to support the creation and execution of tests and to accommodate the release of our software or hardware components.
You will review (functional and non-functional) requirements/user stories/feature descriptions for accuracy and testability.
You will be working with your colleague test engineers as an integral part of the software development and participate in the different Scrum activities of the development team (estimation sessions, daily stand-ups, refinement sessions etc).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant discipline with proven ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level knowledge, ISTQB Advanced level is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of Software Test experience in regulated industries such as medical, aerospace, defense or automotive. Experience in test automation is a preference.
Understands and has experience with the high documentation workload associated with releasing a regulated product.
Strong quality drive and ownership with the ability to work effectively with cultural differences and foreign development teams (multi-site development/testing).
Your Team:
You will work within the IGT System “Interventional Hemodynamics” business team in Best in the Netherlands. The “Interventional Hemodynamics” team is a small multi-disciplinary business team consisting of 16 professionals responsible for the global interventional Hemodynamic Business within IGT Systems. You will be working closely with our lead test engineer, colleague SW test engineer, System architect and software development team consisting out of 5 highly skilled SW engineers working according the Agile Scrum methodology.
