Software Test Engineer (Contract)

Location: Best

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Salary range: €4.500 - €6.000,-

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better! In this role, you challenge the innovation of our clinical products by engineering advanced 3D clinical applications for Image Guided Therapy. You will oversee and implement hyper-automation-based software build, test, and deployment strategies for our present and future interventional Applications (iApps).

You will be responsible for:

  • Making a substantial contribution to the innovation of advanced 3D clinical products.

  • Overseeing and implementing hyper-automation-based software build, test, and deployment for interventional Applications.

  • Defining best practices, including test and integration strategies and policies for software deployment.

  • Evaluating and recommending state-of-the-art tools, technologies, and methodologies for test implementation.

  • Collaborating within an international cross-functional R&D team to drive a multidisciplinary, global endeavor.

  • Striving for continuous improvement of test automation at hands-on, transformational, and strategic levels.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (Bachelor's) or 3 years (Master's) in Software Development, Design, Testing, and Quality Assurance.

  • Experience in software development (C++, C#) combined with test and integration of APIs and system-level architectures.

  • Technical implementation of automation pipelines and practices such as Continuous Integration, trunk-based development, and Shift Left.

  • Proficiency in modern software test methodologies like TDD, BDD, and ATDD/executable specifications.

  • Strong abstraction skills and the ability to maintain a high-level overview while being willing to dig into technical details.

  • Passion for DevOps practices and driving continuous improvement via DORA metrics.

  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
