Technical Writer Digital and Computational Pathology

You are responsible for
Creating user documentation, according to the defined processes and quality standards. The exact scope of user documentation varies per project, and can include terminology etc. To represent the user documentation discipline in the project, and to coordinate the user documentation planning in line with the project requirements and deadlines.
As a technical writer, you are responsible for:
•   To ensure that the required end-user documentation is written and delivered according to the project deadlines, thereby ensuring the planned product release.
•   Proactively and continuously collect all necessary information for documentation activities: input documents, organizing discussion/ meetings with application specialists, product management, product developers and other relevant sources.
•   Transform the collected input effectively and efficiently into user documentation.
•   Proactively organize review of the written document(s) with disciplines involved, handle comments and obtain approval.
•   To perform editorial tasks, e.g. during peer reviews
•   To prepare the documents for translation/localization after documentation.
•   To create the master deliverables for final product delivery after receiving the final translated files
•   To create and maintain user training.
•   To maintain service documentation

The business unit is establishing a worldwide business for digital pathology solutions encompassing the Philips Ultra-Fast Scanner for tissue slides and an Image Management System within a healthcare informatics environment.

Our mission: In a world with increasing challenges for cancer diagnostic procedures and quality of patient care we want to be number one in empowering pathologists with digital pathology solutions so their expertise is supported by the best pathology scanners, Image Management System, workflow solutions and decision support based on Computational Pathology capabilities.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

•   Bachelor degree in the field of Engineering, Business Engineering or Computer Science
•   3 years Technical Writer experience with ST4
•   Experience in high-tech, low volume environment
•   Self-starter with drive, focus and initiative
•   Systematical and analytical
•   Communicative
•   Both conceptual as hands-on
•   Affinity with IT systems is pre
•   Experience in Medical Device / Healthcare company is considered to be a plus
•   Team player who is able to find a good balance between achieving personal, team and
•   departmental goals
•   You are proficient in your area of specialization and will contribute in other disciplines.
•   Good written and verbal communication in the Dutch and English language
