Technical Department Manager ICC Software (Contract)

Location: Best, Netherlands

Duration Assignment: 6 months (with no extension)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!As a Technical Department Manager ICC Software, you will lead one of the software departments for our minimally invasive systems within the Imaging Chain Cluster. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to deliver cutting-edge healthcare solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of approximately 19-25 engineers, defining group composition, and ensuring the required proficiencies, resources, and skills.

  • Overseeing the successful introduction and sustainment of high-quality, serviceable, and reliable products.

  • Defining and implementing process improvements to optimize the team’s way of working.

  • Managing relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders such as Innovation, Operations, Customer Services, and Marketing.

  • Delivering projects within the allocated budget, timeline, and quality expectations.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with at least 5 years of technical software development experience.

  • Proven ability in People & Project management with strong communication skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of Healthcare Regulatory aspects (e.g., FDA 820.x, IEC 62304, IEC60601, ISO13485, ISO14971).

  • Experience with high-performance real-time C++ code design and implementation (preferred).

  • Understanding of healthcare products and interoperability standards (e.g., DICOM, FHIR).

  • Expertise in Windows, Linux, firmware, and hardware, along with testing and quality assurance experience.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare products (preferably IGT-S) and hardware development/maintenance.

  • A leadership style that inspires and motivates teams.
