System Engineer-MBSE

In this role, what we do today affects someone’s life tomorrow; it is a quality policy of Philips. Striving for the highest healthcare products, you will be working on implementing and applying MBSE in R&D departments throughout various Philips businesses. You will be a part of the Model-Based Systems Engineering competence group within the Innovation & Strategy central function, primarily located in the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. The MBSE group comprises ~25 highly skilled and motivated MBSE professionals working on different projects across all Philips businesses.

You will be responsible for:

• In this role, from being on the front end of Philips product development through MBSE deployment activities, you will be able to explore every aspect of MBSE and product development at Philips. Our external engagement with other companies will allow you to build a strong network of same-minded professionals across High Tech industry.

• Projects can cover every phase of the product life cycle, from development, manufacturing, market deployment, operation, and maintenance to phase-out. You will also help to deploy MBSE capability throughout the global company by creating and providing training and coaching and/or leading a team of system engineers.

To be successful in this role we are looking for:

• You have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Software, System, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years experience as a system engineer in an R &D environment from a highly regulated industry viz. Medical devices, aeronautics, etc.

• You are an all-around System Engineer, an expert on Requirements Engineering and design.

• You have significant experience with model-based systems engineering tools like Cameo, Jama Soft, Doors etc.

• You are an excellent communicator that can operate on different levels of architectural details with a hands-on mentality.
