In this role, what we do today affects someone’s life tomorrow; it is a quality policy of Philips. Striving for the highest healthcare products, you will be working on implementing and applying MBSE in R&D departments throughout various Philips businesses. You will be a part of the Model-Based Systems Engineering competence group within the Innovation & Strategy central function, primarily located in the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. The MBSE group comprises ~25 highly skilled and motivated MBSE professionals working on different projects across all Philips businesses. projects can cover every phase of the product life cycle, from development, manufacturing, market deployment, operation, and maintenance to phase-out. You will also take a (leading) role in MBSE transformation throughout the global company. Your knowledge and skills will help us continuously improve our Systems Engineering practices and prepare us for the future.

In this versatile role, from defining the MBSE methodology through deployment activities to product systems engineering, you will be able to explore every aspect of MBSE and product development at Philips. Our external engagement with other companies will allow you to build a strong network of same-minded professionals across High Tech industry.
To be successful in this role we are looking for:
You have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Software, System, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years experience in the role of an architect in an R &D environment from a highly regulated industry viz. Medical devices.
You are a thought leader, working in the now but looking to the future MBSE capability improvements that challenges and opportunities, such as AI, bring to Systems Engineering practice.
You are an all-around System Engineer, an expert on Requirements Engineering and design.
You have significant experience with model-based systems engineering tools like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Capella, etc.
You are an excellent communicator who can operate on different levels of architectural details with a hands-on mentality.
