As a System Architect Machine Control & Automation at Philips Innovation Engineering, you'll lead the architecture, design and integration of software and electrical components for high-precision test and production medical equipment. Working in a diverse team, your responsibilities include advanced machine control, accurate measurements, and electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance in complex mechatronic devices.
Your role :
Architecting complete production lines or machines, ensuring manufacturing efficiency while considering scalability and adaptability.
Structuring work to meet evolving customer needs and maintain technological competitiveness, incorporating feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Providing comprehensive input to project leaders, commercial department, and management, facilitating informed decision-making.
Collaborating closely with the commercial department to anticipate market demand and align product development strategies accordingly.
Defining a robust software architecture strategy, balancing long- and short-term objectives, and proactively addressing potential conflicts in requirements.
Engaging with teams, customers, suppliers, and product management to develop comprehensive solutions that address both consumer needs and market demands.
Delivering meticulously crafted software architecture designs, leveraging cutting-edge technology and conducting thorough cost-benefit analyses.
Establishing clear definitions for system components and interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and efficient deployment, while maintaining adherence to high-level functional and non-functional requirements.
Ensures good and up to date documentation of the architecture and implementation thereof and is responsible for overall solutions / product quality
You are a part of
The Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems department of Philips Innovation Engineering that is responsible for specification, design and realization of high-end test and production equipment. In this department is the group Mechatronics Engineering & Technologies is responsible for the electrical and software control of this equipment.
You're the right fit if you have:
Bachelor or Master in a technical profession
Typically, more than 10 years of software development experience, preferably in manufacturing process automation or test equipment development
Experience as Software Architect of at least 3-4 years
Profound knowledge of modern manufacturing equipment design approach and related tools
Analytical skills, architectural thinking and creation, switching from helicopter to detailed view
Influencing skills, team player, networking skills, negotiation skills.
You are willing to travel up to 25% while working at a customer location
Profound knowledge of medical industry, including standards and regulatory requirements in Healthcare-strong advantage
