Sr Communication Designer-Art Director (Freelance)
Building leading solutions linking consumer and professional health across the health continuum
Working closely with the Global Brand Communications & Digital Business Partner, Creative Lead and Program Manager, you will collaborate closely and partner within Philips Design and the business stakeholders in the Group Marketing and e-Commerce program with a special focus on Integrated Events, Communications, Corporate and Health Systems communications.
Key target is to position Design as key partner in integrated marketing brand activities as part of our cross-touch point communication. This includes progressively growing engagement and design quality to create one consistent brand experience, with the different agencies and where relevant local markets.
Build and strengthen knowledge of B2B branding/marketing. (trends, competitors, best practices) and develop a point of view on how the Philips brand could/should evolve to be more engaging, desirable, competitive and differentiating in this health-tech domain
Support the deployment of the "360 approach" where online is not a separate entity, it integrates with many physical touchpoints.
Key areas of responsibilities require:
Understanding people, business, and societies, framing the problem and focusing on user needs and requirements
Creating user focused strategies, innovations, solutions and experiences and the user testing and validation of these, considering usability, sustainability, and appropriate visual and verbal articulation in line with DLS and Brand guidelines
Driving operational excellence and efficiency, delivering appropriate design quality within budget and project parameters
Customer focus and Design consultancy, collaborating, partnering, and co- creating with internal and external stakeholders, with clear and impactful communication and articulation of design decision making
Effective teamwork, giving and receiving appropriate guidance, being respectful and inclusive, driving performance, quality, and integrity
Initiate and lead own analysis and research to gain deeper insights as input for solution creation.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master's degree in Design, Design Research or related discipline, or equivalent professional Design training experience.
Minimum 5~ years of relevant professional experience
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience in concept ideation, design strategy, art direction and production.
You are creatively hands on and can work independently and within a greater team from concept to execution.
Experience working with designers from different backgrounds.
You have strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills.
Fluency across a variety of visual media including mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and PowerPoint. Additional skills in Sketch and After Effects are a bonus.
