Participate in innovative Research projects where you will boost our innovations by enabling the implementation of new audio algorithms. You will bring in your expertise in the field of acoustic modelling algorithms on a DSP/GPU platform.

You are responsible for

The implementation of C and/or C++ code for audio processing algorithms simulating various acoustic effects.

One part is the DSP itself and another is the implementation of related intelligent control logic that provides the DSP part with the appropriate configuration. Mostly there is a Matlab reference implementation available, but sometimes smaller features or improvements of existing functionality will be described conceptually and or developed in conjunction with researchers.

An important aspect is to be able to conceive and implement relevant unit tests. For this, an understanding of the audio algorithms and basic understanding of human psycho-acoustics is a great benefit.

Additionally, you are responsible to maintain and/or work from existing code.

You are a part of

The Philips Research Software Concepts department, developing advanced solutions that will boost Philips professional medical and consumer products and services.
