Software Engineer - Software Designer Interventional Hemodynamic Solutions (Contract)

Location: Best, Netherlands

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Budget range: €4,000 – €5,500/month

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!In this role, you will challenge yourself as a Software Design Engineer by contributing to the design and development of software components for the Philips Interventional Hemodynamic System. This medical device is used to assess and analyze patients' hemodynamic conditions during interventional cardiac procedures, combining real-time rendering and network communication technologies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, creating, testing, and maintaining software for the Philips Hemodynamic application in accordance with requirements and design specifications.

  • Participating actively as a team member in the Scrum process for refinement, estimation, and planning.

  • Understanding and communicating the impact of software implementations on the overall software architecture.

  • Innovating and improving Philips Hemodynamic software while supporting existing products in the field.

  • Staying updated on technical advancements in the field and sharing knowledge with team members.

  • Taking initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

  • Contributing to the creation of the software technology roadmap for the Interventional Hemodynamic monitoring program.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related academic field.

  • Several years of experience as a technical software developer.

  • Proficiency in the latest C++ standards (minimum C++11).

  • Experience working with legacy code.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

  • Preferably experience with medical and real-time software, including relevant standards such as DICOM and FHIR.
