We are looking for
A strong C++/C# software design engineer with GUI visualization experience to develop and enhance our portfolio of state-of-the-art interventional cardiac and vascular medical applications (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures) of the Philips Azurion image-guided therapy system.

In this role, you have the opportunity to
make a substantial contribution to the innovation of our clinical products. You will develop new clinical products & platforms, using the latest software technologies and resources.
At Philips IGT Cluster R&D we are working on industry leading solutions helping clinicians on deciding, guiding, treating and confirming the right therapy for each patient in real-time during image-guided therapies (IGT).

What you will be doing
The software team's main goal is to de-risk technical designs in an early stage and demonstrate this with early prototypes (Advanced Development) as well as finalizing these clinical applications and bringing them to the market (PDLM - Product Development Lifecyle Management).

Of course we expect you to not only create high quality working software designs considering the medical device compliance, but also to actively participate in our SAFe and scrum ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement efforts of the team, software and processes.
Naturally you keep abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art programming techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities, files invention disclosures.

To be successful you have the following experience

  • Bachelor / Master's degree in technology;
  • At least 5 years' experience in high-tech software development;
  • Excellent programming and design skills in modern C++ / C# (.NET) (must)
  • Experience working within an Agile team (must)
  • Experience with implementing graphical user interfaces (for example with frameworks such as QT or WPF) on Windows, Mac or Linux desktop environments (advantage)
  • Experience with CI / CD, DevOps, TDD / BDD and Agile / Scrum (advantage);
  • Knowledge of medical software applications (advantage);
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written (must), Dutch (advantage);
  • Accurate, analytical, a team player and has good communication skills;
  • Results driven;
  • Self-starter, quick learner and ability to work in a global team setting
     

You will become part of An extremely driven International cross-functional R&D team of the business unit Image Guided Therapy Cluster R&D. Your local team is in Best (Eindhoven North), The Netherlands, and you will collaborate with other teams globally.
