We are looking for
A strong and experienced C++ software developer with a background in mathematics and computer science to develop and enhance our portfolio of state-of-the-art 3-dimensional imaging applications to support interventional cardiac and vascular medical procedures (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent placements) on the Philips Azurion image-guided therapy system.
In this role, you have the opportunity to

What you will be doing
We are currently scaling our system-, software development and test organization by embedding several new (outsourced) software partner scrum teams in our Philips IGT iApps organization. The main goal of each team is to de-risk technical designs in an early stage and demonstrate this with early prototypes (Advanced Development) as well as co-development and finalizing the clinical application and bringing them to the market (PDLM ? Product Development Lifecyle Management).
Your role is to work closely with partner scrum teams either by taking a role in the Philips scrum team or being the linking pin from the Philips team and work in the outsourced partner scrum team yourself. You also actively participate in our Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement efforts of the teams, software and its way of working. All teams work on-site at least 3 up to 4 days at our R&D facilities.
You're the right fit if:
Have at least a MSc degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science (or equivalent);
10+ years of experience in software development, and at least 3 years of experience as an architect, technical product owner or staff engineer in an agile development environment with a passion about software and keeping it up to date with software technology and related areas.
Experience in working in and cooperating with high-performance teams, ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, being able to translate a software product roadmap into clear architectural designs and implementation. You can bring your point across to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You have proven experience with high performance software design and development, design patterns, SOLID principles, TDD, Clean architecture and writing efficient code.
Respected for being hands-on and fully up to speed with modern SW technologies (e.g. C++ 20, 3D rendering with DirectX/OpenGL and computational geometry), configuration management and deployment systems, GitHub, package management, orchestration tools, Docker, cloud computing.
You will become part of An extremely driven International cross-functional R&D team of the business unit Image Guided Therapy Systems R&D. Your local team is in Best (Eindhoven North), The Netherlands, and you will collaborate with other teams globally.
