Senior Software Developer (Freelance)
Specifically you will be part of the Healthdot team. An ex-prototype that is now in the stage of becoming a product within the medical landscape. We are looking for an experienced and motivated senior front-end software engineer that can, on request, make changes in a backend. We require strong interpersonal and technical skills. Preferably already familiar with a medical regulated environment. The position is in Eindhoven, the Netherlands
In general you will be part of the Software Concepts department within the Philips Research. In this department, we build state of the art prototypes and pilots using the latest software technologies and research. Our prototypes are used in all healthcare businesses. In the end of the day, we try to touch and improve lives of 3 billion people. The department is trying to work with variety subject matter experts. Our department is the maintainer and key driver in Philips Open Source Software community. The department consists of 80+ professionals. These professionals have state of the art knowledge and are specialized in the field of next generation user interfacing, intelligent agents, distributed and decentralized systems and software science.
Requirements:
- Design, test, develop, deploy, maintain and improve software assets
- Deliver high quality code through hands on development with attention to detail
- Analyze/Research issues and provide solutions to quickly resolve them
- Options to peer programming with team members
- Actively participate in solution design with system engineers and architects
Technical:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in developing software applications
- Experience in Agile development methodologies
- Frontend, up-to-date React knowledge and Cypress.
- Back-end experience: Node.js with modern web technology stack (micro-services, message queue, REST API definitions, cloud services)
- Solid experience with key DevOps technologies including Docker, as well as DevOps experience in AWS / Cloud Foundry, including hybrid, automation, and tools for CI/CD services.
- Strong experience with highly-scalable and distributed databases and the key issues affecting their performance and reliability.
- Experienced in test driven development

- Relevant experience with AzureDevOps
- IEC62304 (Software for medical device)
- ISO13485 (Medical device)
- ISO14971 (Risk Management)
